Prolonged exposure to the blueish light of screens can cause insomnia and other issues. f.lux is an app that lets you get rid of this type of light on your Android device, so it no longer hurts your eyes.
In the settings you can automate the way your screen changes colors. For instance, the screen can keep its usual blue hue during the day, but change to warmer colors during the night. This way it will be easier for you to actually go to bed, at least in theory.
To use f.lux correctly you need to have a rooted Android device. If you want to uninstall the app, it's important that you deactivate the brightness adjustment first, then uninstall the app, and finally restart the device.
f.lux is an interesting app. Like other similar apps, such as Twilight, it allows your eyes take a break from all that light exposure, which causes a lot fatigue by the end of the day.
